Who we are, what we value, and the change we hope to make

Take a look at the ways we are helping to fight against Covid-19
Little Firefly was created in the summer of 2020 out of the simple desire to help people connect and send some joy. We are all adjusting to a new world with Covid, where reaching out is more important than ever! My hope is that the specialty cards Little Firefly offers, and your ability to personalize them, can help make someone’s day just a little more special—from the surprise of the envelope to what’s inside.
Creator of Little Firefly
When I started the company, I wanted to reflect the core values around caring for others, supporting people who may need a virtual hug of some kind, and putting a smile on someone’s face and warming their hearts. It was important to do this while respecting the environment and so the supplies used to make the cards are FSC (forest stewardship council) certified, are made using a range of 30-100% PCW (post-consumer waste) and have other eco features. I ask that you please recycle our envelopes and packaging (I have to assume the card will be saved forever!).
Through my greeting cards, I look to create a brighter world. A world of connectivity and inclusivity. I hope to inspire others to build stronger connections and to encourage a world where we can all live harmoniously with the earth and the animals that live on it.
Change needs to start somewhere. The smallest act of kindness, of consideration to ourselves, each other, and to our planet, can make all the difference.
Knowing that I am privileged to be able to use my passion in this way, 15% of all profits will be donated to two charities of my choice. You will see more information about them down below and I encourage you to learn more about the work they do.
Eager to get the site up and running, you will find my first batch of cards on the Shop Page. Being an artist means I don't have to live inside a box. I am constantly evolving and getting inspired by new things. In the future I may decide to add more cards...and even potentially other art related products.
I am open to new ideas, so feel free to connect anytime.
I am motivated to give back to the communities who unfortunately do not have the many things we may take for granted.
I chose Cuso International (from a long list of wonderful organizations) because I felt connected to the work they do and the changes they strive to make.
My intention is not just to raise money. I also hope to raise awareness and encourage us all to help those who may need our help, through whatever way we choose.
Cuso International is a Canadian non-profit organization that is working towards eradicating poverty and inequality around the world. They are hoping to live in a world where all people are able to realize their potential, develop their skills and participate fully in society.
They work in various places such as Africa, Latin America, The Caribbean, South East Asia and Canada’s North. Last year alone, more than 4 million people benefited from their programs and collective efforts.
Covid-19 continues to affect us all. Whether it is financially, emotionally, mentally or socially, it has touched us in one way or another. For me personally, it has affected me mentally and socially. However, I do acknowledge that compared to many, I am extremely lucky.
I have created a line of greeting cards called the "Covid Collection" where 15% of profits will be directed towards the Doctors Without Borders Covid-19 Crisis Fund.
My goal for this collection is not just to raise money for those in need, but to inspire everyone to reach out to their family, friends, and loved ones.
I believe social connection plays a crucial role in our well-being and at a time like this, it makes reaching out even more important.
Sometimes all it takes is a card in the mail to make someone's day.
I cannot begin to imagine what it is like to already live with extreme difficulties in securing basic needs (food, shelter, access to basic health care) to then have a global pandemic added to your list of worries. Luckily, organizations such as Doctors Without Borders are there to help.
Doctors Without Borders is a Nobel Prize-winning emergency humanitarian medical organization that has helped tens of millions of people by providing medical aid to where it's needed the most. Since its founding in 1971, it has become a global movement with 40,000 staff across more than 65 countries.
They serve all humanity without any regard where people are from, which religion they belong to, or their political beliefs. All that matters is they are human beings in need.
